Gun group objects to library gun rule, enters with guns, compares it to racial discrimination (USA)

Gun group objects to library gun rule, enters with guns, compares it to racial discriminationThirty gun-toting activists didn't like a Virginia library's gun policy, so they protested both inside and outside the building by bringing their guns. They objected to one sentence in the rule: "Carrying concealed weapons is prohibited, except as permitted by law." Organizer Philip Van Cleave likens it to racial discrimination. "What if they had said 'We don't allow African-Americans, except if allowed by law. Would that be okay? I don’t think so," Van Cleave said outside the library. "[The rule] implies that no one is allowed to protect themselves on the property."
